Source Says Podesta Brothers & Manafort, Not Trump, 'Central Figures' in Russia Probe
Manafort was, at the time, representing Russian business and political interests during the Obama era.
Manafort hired the Podesta Group and Mercury Government Affairs, a Republican lobbying firm, in 2012, when Manafort led a public relations effort in Washington during Yanukovych’s re-election campaign. The Podesta Group and another firm, Mercury Public Affairs, are listed in the indictment as “Company A” and “Company B.” The two firms were hired by Manafort to lobby for the Yanukovych government in 2012 but did not register as foreign agents until 2017.
The Podesta Group:
In 2013, the group hired away one of Clinton's deputies, David Adams, effectively establishing contact between the Washington firm and Clinton's office in Foggy Bottom, D.C. During this time, the Uranium One deal was being facilitated by the White House.
The Panama Papers were the biggest downfall of Tony. Major clients did not want to be associated with the Group when these papers came to light.
It showed that Russia’s biggest bank uses The Podesta Group as its lobbyist in Washington, D.C.
When Podesta Group showed up on Mueller's Manafort indictment, Tony quit the firm.
As reported at the end of March, the Podesta Group registered with the U.S. Government as a lobbyist for Sberbank (Russia’s biggest financial institution), as required by law, naming three Podesta Group staffers: Tony Podesta plus Stephen Rademaker and David Adams, the last two former assistant secretaries of state. It should be noted that Tony Podesta is a big-money bundler for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign while his brother John is the chairman of that campaign, the chief architect of her plans to take the White House this November. Sberbank is at the heart of the unrest in Ukrain. If you want to tie in how BHO/HRC helped in this, connect the dots thru Sberbank.
David Adams: Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs at the DoS 2009-2013. Left right before the Benghazi hearings.
After leaving the State Department, Adams landed a job with Global Solutions, a lobbying firm owned by President Barack Obama adviser Anthony Podesta, whose brother is John Podesta, Chief of Staff for former President Bill Clinton and who also served as the current president's transition chief. Anthony Podesta worked on Bill Clinton's.
Adams was a member of the HRC Dream Team. "The exact email address for the fourth "Dream Team" member appears to belong to David S. Adams, but was redacted by the State Department, and his name doesn't appear in any of the three emails. A Google search for "cripplecreek61" reveals that it's also the name of the Twitter account that's associated to a user named David S. Adams, which was started in August of 2013. No tweets have ever been sent by @Cripplecreek61" Pic related
David was the chief legislative adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and was instrumental in facilitating the Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act of 2012, civil nuclear cooperation agreements with Russia and Australia and the successful confirmation of 122 nominees. Previously, as Deputy Assistant Secretary for House Affairs, he was also key to the development of the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act of 2010, as well as approval of major arms sales to Saudi Arabia and Iraq and a civil nuclear cooperation agreement with the United Arab Emirates."
