coming from more of an european background/culture, when Comics are much, much, much more diverse (in the true meaning of the word, not to say not-white) and entertaining, i was baffled as a kid at how and why people could find SuperHero Comics to be satisfactory.
just the idea that the technology of text+images can and must be used exclusively to tell fantasy tales of men in suits with superpowers is… well… idiotic.
it's like if movies were all about Bowling, and there was always Bowling in them. Sure, sometimes it's not so much about the Bowling, and you can focus on other issues, but there has to be Bowling.
Sounds stupid, right?
