They're trying to intimidate the jury now they've realised they might be acquitting Manafort.

No coincidence they've done this today after the news at the end of yesterday's session that the jury wanted the definition of "reasonable doubt" (making it clear that they were at least some on the jury leaning towards "not guilty").
