One thing that always bothered me about the movie was knowing the end. Always felt like Q was ruining it by giving us the last scene. Like watching a show that has to end before the next program airs, you get the idea the plot is rounding up based on the fact the minute hand reads :53 and this thing has to end before the clock resets to double zeros.
At this moment the suspense loses all of its power, you are no longer open to the unknown of the ride, because the clock is showing you its end, and sightseeing along the way is thrown out the window, as all focus is on the the seeable final destination.
Still got to admit I was so hard locked on November 11th the first feeling was one of betrayal. But now it only seems logical, if I was banking on November 11th, so would the cabal. And that would be stupid to tell your enemy, "Hey you better get ready before this day!" D-day wasn't done like that and this military is the descendants of the same ones who stormed Normandy, Utah, and Omaha.
True, I don't know where it ends now, but hey, that's what makes a good movie.
