If only I had known this was all coming, I would have joined the Army. Of course I've always wanted to serve my country, but not under the treasonous bastards Clinton, Bush & Obama. You can say that if I really loved my country then I would have joined and served regardless but no. Now, at 29 going on 30, I think I'm too old to join up.

Seriously? Because everywhere I look and people I talk to say that the odds of getting in at this age are very very slim. And it seriously fucks with me because now that the tables have turned, I wanna be someone who can say I served during these times.

(: 45??? Oh wow!

See in my early days after high school, I wanted to join for my own financial security, etc. I thought TRUE PATRIOTS were never going to regain power. But now, when I look at the flag, I actually feel that sense of American pride and emotion I felt when I was a young boy hearing our anthem and seeing my grandpa return home from Saudi. For so long, our anthem didn't make me feel anything under previous administrations, for obvious reasons. But it's so much different now. I see the flag and hear our anthem now and it feels like it did way back when. It's COMPLETELY different now. The truth is in the way it feels, and that tells me there truly has been a fundamental shift in this country.
