It's self evident, even for normies if they really think on it.

More and more countries are getting into space, our infrastructure is HIGHLY dependent on satellites, China has 'certainly already shown military capability in space and unless we want to get caught with our pants down multiple orders of magnitude worse than Pearl Harbor, we best get an actual LEO combat capability up and going or we're going to get knocked back to 1942 and be totally unaware that its' coming until we're starving and resorting to cannibalism just to feed our families.
