True. We're stuck with stories and narratives online, some saying the tech exists already, but hard to tell wherein truth lies…

What really strikes me is how suddenly the space dream was canceled - talked to a similarly aged friend just yesterday, who feels it even worse than me…

I think it goes a lot deeper than we realize: it gave a purpose, somewhere to reach to.

Now it's just about "well, enjoy life, do good if you want to, whatever", and that's not all bad, but far from satisfying.

Member when there was a crazy Mars reality-tv idea and way more people signed up than they expected? I was not surprised at all. A bit worried for them, because the project couldn't be anything but a disaster, but i understood they would want to try…

I'm from SoCal, everybody worked their ass off to win in space, so many people that made a lot of money in the 70s till 80s, it was a dream to make your country the greatest on earth, so many dreams destroyed, a fountain of talent squashed and sold out, it really hurts, we really cried when we watched each shuttle launch and knew we did that

It's coming back in a big way.

Space is critical to our NAT SEC.

Was terminated for a specific reason.

Godspeed, Patriot.

True, very true…

In a way i felt this week was more a physical than mental upheaval/change - an odd transition of sorts.

But about the connection, absolutely!

There is definitely some form of non-physical connection between humans - why live shows can be a shared experience, why (good) comedies are funnier in a theater than at home, and on and on…

The SJW social engineering has fucked up protests, among other people's tools and institutions, but to have lived it, there is nothing like a real mass of people uniting for a common goal… and we are sadly herded away from that power we have
