A,
Well, you were right as usual. Royal Navy and Royal Marine blokes & their ladies do like the 'Hatter'. Chris has pics to prove it
and will send. Tux & hat 3 Pics include Simon et al - who knew pics were for you, so send their best wishes and regards. UK
Navy and Marines big HRC fans. Magnificent, though too short, visit to London Town. Formal military event at Lincoln's Inn
Hall one night. Toasted Queen and you - our Queen. An evening nicely done by Commandant General of Royal Marines, a few
active duty Admirals and retired Admiral Scott Ledbetter ( Simon's buddy ) . Dinner at Institute of Directors on Pall Mall the
next. Then great neighborhood Indian food the 3rd night. And pub grub (fish & chips) on the fourth. Yum. Toured the old
turf from my Navy days, after too many years since last visit. Naturally included Harrods, Selfridges, and other Oxford St and
Knightsbridge costly establishments. Even had ok weather. Walked and walked and walked. Little sleep. Some play. Some
interesting work, Surprisingly, '''no airport body scans or pat downs at either Logan or Heathrow - which certainly made Chris
happy.''' She shares your interview opinion 3 A bit jet lagged, so not sure how the heck you do it on such a consistent basis.
Best,
MH

January 2010:
Hillary,
The [REDACTED] you met at my house wants to reach to you.
He took your advice and established an American water security company last year - and has been successful.
… he's been involved with DHS, SOCOM & CENTCOM here and has privately been working with the British Embassy while here in the US - to our mutual advantage of course.
In March he will be going to Texas to meet with Border Patrol personnel.
… he would like to get your feedback re his thinking relative to the need for 'enhanced' security here.
Marty
Hilary responds:
Sounds very intriguing. I am copying Lona [Valmoro; member of the 7th floor group] to reach out to arrange.
