Sooo its occured to me that these poor kids were probably forced to earn these red shoes, just like the people in the red shoe party and hollywood did. Their hands are bloody because they were likely forced to participate in the execution of a child, and they are now at rhe 2nd location possibly a kitchen watching it be prepared to be or eaten in front of them.

Perhaps one is chosen at the biltmore hence they face forward with no red shoes
