Techfag here. I would assume that they have implemented diverse locations for storage, hot mirroring, diverse routing, and other strategies for high availability. Now that doesn't mean all those plans will work, or be adequate, in a real disaster. But since their business is riding on it, you can be pretty sure they have implemented best practices.

But when I hear Richard Russell, my first thought is of this guy, known for writing daily stock market newsletters from 1958 up until his recent death. Also known for a stock market theory that he called Dow Theory. That Richard Russell may have been wrong about a several things but he seemed like a good, kind man.
Probably just a coincidence.
