As you've noted before, in the end "God Wins." I'd suggest that God's Providence intervenes in the affairs of mankind to ensure such a victory and that God's will prevails, and even though it might seem that timelines change, the Divine Author might allow evil to prosper for a time until the righteousness of God prevails in the establishment of a greater Good for all of US.
We might consider the election of Donald J Trump to the Presidency as a 'timeline change' for those who had different aspirations than Make America Great Again, but I thank God daily that His Spirit inspired Mr. Trump to have sought the Office in the first place, and now that there truly is a real reason for hope in a better future, Providence has perhaps intervened to ensure such a victory, not only for US, but for all people in the world.
I have but three basic tenets:
1.) God is inherently Good.
2.) Good overcomes evil.
3.) Evil should be punished.
The Spiritual warfare in which we are currently embroiled is certainly Good v. Evil, and God has allowed evil to persist to mettle our resolve for God allows evil to exist for the establishment of a Greater Good. "He who overcomes shall inherit all things," no doubt for the betterment of all of mankind.
