Of all books in the bible to question (it literally contradicts matthew, mark, luke and john and makes MAGA impossible and pointless since the whole world is going to descend into complete horror-movie hell repleat with plagues, fire and giant metal scorpions that torture you endlessly) it would be revelations. It has caused more confusion, failed predictions and double mindedness than any book on earth. It was blatantly NOT written by John the apostle, and it was added into the canon later at the behest of the already corrupted catholic church. John of Patmos's account of Jesus and the things Jesus said are in direct contradiction to the other 26 books of the New Testament.
On top of that, the book makes NO SENSE. It not only contradicts the gospel but it CONTRADICTS ITSELF. To say it contradicts the gospel is actually an understatement. Upon closer investigation you will see it actually reverses it in many places.
When you finish reading the Gospel, you are shown a GOOD ending. We trample the snake, God wins. It's very positive.
Revelations (a book whos interpretation NO denomination, or conspiracy theorist for that matter can agree on) has everyone marching through a SAW-movie type, hell on earth ridden with all manner of natural, and supernatural disaster possible including giant scorpions that torture everyone for five months. Eventually we all get beheaded at the grand finale, unless you're into the rapture in which case you are beamed out before hand). I've studied a lot of biblical history and cannot justify this book. It was placed there to keep us all defeated.
There were plenty of voices against it. The early church father Eusebius, for example.
“..almost everything in John Patmos' hallucination opposes the Gospel, Jesus' words, ways, and teachings. All one must do is pay attention to what John Patmos wrote. That will be done, with some detail, later in this critique. But first, some general background information is needed. The Greek literary styles of John Patmos and John Apostle were examined in very early Christianity to prove these are two different writers. Eighteen hundred years ago, Dionysius (Bishop of the Patriarchy of Alexandria) stated that "Revelation" was not written by the same person who wrote John's Gospel and Letters. (Eusebius' History of the Church, 7.25) His opinion came from his comparing their two writing styles and found John Patmos to be entirely different from John Apostle and any other New Testament writer.”
I could go on and on but don't have too much more time to dig it all up. The Book of Revelations takes away your assurance from Jesus and reverses it. The Book of Revelations has satan winning and destrying everything until God comes in and ressurects all of his dead, tortured followers amidst the burning disease ridden rubble, burnt corpses and severed heads. It even opens up with a nice talmudic style curse....also similar to many occult books that open by threatening with a curse to burn the readers fingertips off or die a horrible death should he alter any words.
God gave you DISCERNMENT. You abandon it at your own peril. The Bible is the most important book you'll ever read, but you need to realize what it has been through, who was in control of it, and most importantly, that it has been altered in key places.
God Wins....God will take care of his children. Don't let anyone or any book tell you different.
