That pipeline lands in German territory. Similarly, there is a Black Sea pipeline that will land somewhere, either Turkey or Bulgaria, or now it seems like a bit of both. The landing countries get and economic boost from the pipeline.
All the wailing about Russian gas pipelines was really Ukraine wanting to keep a monopoly and be a chokepoint.
