If I didn't know better, I would say Gloria is a spiritual christian type of person. The poorly replicated art behind the bed makes me think this too. She is a little creepy, but nothing jumps out at me as 'bad' or 'evil'. A lot of the dolls are used for art and can by them at a local art store.

Lobbying is also an issue. We do not have a representative government. At times we have a mobacracy if the media deems it appropriate, and for the most part we have an oligarchy. The rich are writing the laws to their advantage. Politicians in this two party system spend their time seeking donations. To move up in the party, you have to be a big money collector or a useful idiot.

Capitalism has it's flaws, but beats the alternatives. Our main problem is the corruption of the government. They are all cocktail buddies.
