The Pentagon Has Avoided Audit For 27 Years

Not sure where your tax dollars are going? Nobody really is.

The Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990, which was signed into law by President George H.W. Bush in 1990, requires all federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense, to complete financial statements. The DoD is the only agency not to comply with the 1990 law.

Congress has allowed the Department of Defense to get away with 27 years of noncompliance with the law.

Note: 27 years puts the timeline in GHWB's administration. Additional posts to follow exploring what was going on in 1990 during his presidency.

I understand what you are saying and I do realize what the numbers are, this is an attempt to understand how the Pentagon, could override the laws that every other government agency has to follow, 27 years without any accountability to anyone is a long time to let it go. So the question is Why were they hiding from it?, When did it start?, What were they really hiding? Where did it go? To me it's looking like wars that were not authorized by congress and up in spaceโ€ฆ(ie top secret missions) So again, What were they doing?

Another thing to think about is this: First Pentagon said no parade till 2019, then Potus stated it was canceled: How bad off is the Pentagon really if a parade can no be had? What if Mattis and Trump are trying to draw attention to what I am pointing out here? How angry would the public really be?

Again, I am not saying you are wrong, and I remember that being the case at a certain point and time, however, there are unauthorized wars, top secret space missions unauthorized, ect. The deeper you go the deeper it gets.

The Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA), often simply called the Y, is a worldwide organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, with more than 58 million beneficiaries from 125 national associations. It was founded on 6 June 1844 by George Williams in London and aims to put Christian principles into practice by developing a healthy "body, mind, and spirit". These three angles are reflected by the different sides of the (red) triangleโ€”part of all YMCA logos. With regard to the history and purpose of the founding, this "organization and its female counterpart (YWCA) were established to provide low-cost housing in a safe Christian environment for rural young men and women journeying to the cities." It was associated with industrialization and the movement of young people to cities to work. The YMCA "combined preaching in the streets and the distribution of religious tracts with a social ministry. Philanthropists saw them as places for wholesome recreation that would preserve youth from the temptations of alcohol, gambling, and prostitution and that would promote good citizenship.

The YMCA was founded by George Williams, a London draper, who was typical of the young men drawn to the cities by the Industrial Revolution. He and his colleagues were concerned about the lack of healthy activities for young men in major cities; the options available were usually taverns and brothels. Williams's idea grew out of meetings he held for prayer and Bible-reading among his fellow-workers in a business in the city of London, and on 6 June 1844, he founded the first YMCA in London with the purpose of "the improving of the spiritual condition of young men engaged in the drapery, embroidery, and other trades. By 1851, there were YMCAs in the United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United States.
