Q400 - Bigfoot

For clarification of the Q400 audio the callsign 'Bigfoot' is assigned to the WADS SOCC ID/Surveillance section, McChord AFB, WA.

WADS is the Western Air Defense Sector (this covers the western half of the US) & SOCC is the Sector Operations Control Center (tis covers the WA state & NW area).

These are ground based air control operations rooms that direct & control the fighter air defences.

They are part of the operations & control section of McChord AFB providing the command & control of Rock41 & 42 the two F-15s and any flight refuelling tankers & AWACS E-3 aircraft assisting the fighters.

I hope this clears up any uncertainties.
