Total set up': Macquarie Bank rocked by 'extortionary' executive's #MeToo lawsuit

The email from Khristina McLaughlin capped off a dramatic day in Macquarie Bank's Wall Street office.
"This was a total set up," she wrote at 7.22pm. "These actions are being taken totally against my will."
Her office access had just been disabled and she'd been told not to come to work on the US trading floor of the business known in Australia as the "millionaires factory".
The showdown was the culmination of events that involved a two-year workplace affair, claims of sexual harassment, competing claims from Macquarie of a vindictive and extortionate employee, and now a court ruling in favour of the bank in a bitter lawsuit invoking Harvey Weinstein and the #MeToo movement
