Thanks for owning up to the post Anon. I would just ask that people be a little more compassionate to the Baker. Since you were tracking ID's checking for Non-Shills, you could have looked at my posts you would have seen that I was well aware that I needed a handoff and had said so at around the 365 post mark. A Baker stepped up and said they would take the next Bake and I said I would stay on until I made a new bread.
All of that said, when you commit to baking a new bread - you never know if it will be 20 minutes or an hour before the time to bake a new bread rolls around, just depends on traffic, etc. I corrected my mistake, baked the new bread (free from shat), hit the Fresh Bread Post and handed off.
I am not picking on you personally, just saying that as a group - folks should not be so quick to make snarky comments to the Baker or point out their immediate deficiencies. Look at the bigger picture and realize that person is there giving of their time and energy and be more grateful for the positive things that they are doing.
I think you would have lots more people willing to step up, not everyone has broad shoulders and will willingly step up to be criticized over & over. Many people would just not bake rather than withstand public ridicule over & over. That is my .02 FWIW…
On a side note, I volunteered to bake last bread at about post 427, but it went un-noticed. I really did not want to bake but was willing to do so, for the cause for my fellow Anons. I am glad another Baker stepped up as it allowed me the time to make this long-ass post. So:
