Reason is our church today during the prayers for the faithful we had 4 prayers in which we were asked to pray for the children of abuse.
The 1st was asking politicians to stand up and protect.
The 2nd was asking law enforcement to do the same.
The 3rd was asking normal human beings to protect child.
The 4th was for teachers filter out and find all children of abuse.
Then in the bulletin there was a letter from the Arch Bishop in which he asked people to bring forward any cases of child abuse.
On top of that our priest went over different types of abuse (sexual, physical, emotional, verbal) and how we should be on a look out for them.
Again asking to protect the children.
