These prison companies contribute to Trump’s campaign. He pumps up these gulags. The prison companies get rich. This is the exact OPPOSITE of how America should work.

For profit prisons and civil asset forfeiture (without a conviction) should be eliminated entirely. They’re ridiculously un-American.

They're selling prison services….guards, food, etc. We (the taxpayers) are paying for it. They typically get paid on a per-prisoner basis. So, they have a HUGE incentive to provide shitty services to inmates (half of who are in there just for marijuana). Every dime they don't spend on prisoners goes in their back pocket.

Trump would unite the country if he reschedule marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule II. 90% of Americans think medical marijuana should be legal. How do you ignore 90% of Americans on any issue?

Yup. Agreed. This just baffles me. Mandatory minimum sentences are wildly unpopular. They only people that like them are people who profit from them (lawyers, guards, food services providers, etc), the military, and (like you said) boomerfags.

Trump would win over massive amounts of independents, on-the-fence conservatives, and liberals if he rescheduled marijuana and eliminated mandatory minimums. These are completely separate issues from the plan. There's no reason not to do it.
