Trump's lawyers have already said that Cohn can plead guilty to any campaign finance law he wants to placate the prosecutors but that doesn't mean campaign finance laws were violated. They also say this did not violate any campaign finance law.
(just on Fox News) The prosecutor on the front steps of the courthouse just said Cohn pled guilty to a violation of the campaign finance law at direction of a 'candidate'. Trumps attorney then says he can plead guilty all he wants to placate the DA but this was not a campaign finance law violation.
