Didn't a candidate pay a foreign entity via a law firm for opposition research?

Not sweating the Cohen payments to Daniels. Maybe some lawfag can bring some clarity. I did think of something though. Trump put a lot of his own money into the campaign. There is a $2,700 limit that an individual can donate…This is where Trump broke campaign finance laws ;-)
