i understand where POTUS is coming from... but the sooner the anthem is dropped from a "game" the better.... i get it during the olympics (MAGICAL during the olympics)... but it is not necessary during a paid for broadcast event between clubs built to "score more than the opposition"

the media has made this kneel/don't kneel into an issue.
jerks will be jerks... if you don't respect your anthem, be a jerk, kneel during the anthem... if no one reports it, it's just you being an ass.
unless of course... the gov't is paying advertising monies at said event... celebrating the country/flag/anthem... then, they have every right to not have their brand appearance diminished.
