The Calderwood/Hearst names seem to be donors to medical causes in Iowa, and Patrice's brother is a politician (oops, not anymore) in Iowa. Need add'l info to make search useful.

Advanced search with terms Failor and Tibbetts both required didn't return any results.

Patrice Failor Comey's father Edward Dale Failor, b. 10/22/1927 is definitely from Iowa, per the 1930 census of Marion City, Linn County Iowa (attached - note family is listed on two consecutive pages). Edward's parents are W. Ernest and Harriett Failor.

Appears in the usual list of City Directories, did not view. Must have gotten into politics after WWII, appears in Who's Who in Government. Second edition, 1975-1976. Chicago: Marquis Who's Who, 1975.

Those unusual names narrow that search down so nicely.

Patrice LaRee Failor Comey's mother was Isobel Maurene Julius, according to Patrice and James' marriage record.

Tried digging for Isobel. Julius family must be pretty recent immigrants (by that I mean post-Civil War). Neither Ancestry nor FamilySearch turned up much of any consequence for Isobel Maurene Julius. No marriage record for her and Patrice's father, interesting.

But there's this book (format is terrible, just do a "search this page" for the name Isobel):
