Wyoming did not choose Gordon over Friess because of troubling information on Trump.

There are 2 reasons he was chosen.

1. Gordon is a native son and well respected here.

2. It comes diwn to the aquisition of mineral rights on federal land. Those rights cant be purchased only traded for.

The end result is outside mining corporations come in extract minerals and then create shell company designated to be responsible for multi-million dollar reclamation costs. The shell company files bankruptcy and the State is responsible for reclamation costs.

This already happened to Wyoming related to U1.

While it creates jobs in the short term this process has long-standing financial consequences for the State.

Trump won Wyoming with the highest majority of any state. We still love Trump.

This issue had nothing to do with the President.

Friess is a great guy that has been attempting to make inroads here for several years. However his vision for Wyoming does not line up with Wyoming’s vision for the long term health of our state.
