South Africa is major world oil route to the west.

If they can't get it around the cape or through mid east quickly/safely then they go all the way around the Cape instead.

If the oil goes east.

China gets oil cheaper.

Cheaper oil = cheaper energy

Cheaper energy = higher GDP v. America

Logic seems to point to CHINA
