The central thing I remember about Flynn's plea agreement is that it REQUIRES him to testify about ALL illegal acts that he witnessed, if/when requested. His sentencing was put off until Sept 1 IIRC.
They can arrange the sentencing date, and the further testimony date(s), to be anything they want.
That's why I think Q team is using Flynn's case (and possibly Cohen's & POTUS EO's etc.) as a timing mechanism that will open a new phrase of the plan when released.
