Chongqing has a sharp, cutting edge in developing the intelligent industry. The city has more than 3,000 intelligent industry enterprises and is the world's largest notebook computer production base. Its smart terminals output ranks second in the country, with the electronic information industry’s market volume surpassing 540 billion yuan last year. Meanwhile, Chongqing has a digital economy industrial park in the Liangjiang New Area, a national big data comprehensive pilot zone and is also a pilot region for innovative integration of internet and industry. Chongqing has become the first provincial region in West China to achieve the full coverage of optical fiber and 4G networks in administrative villages, and is striving to build a pilot city for commercial use of 5G technologies.
