ha, high heels. I remember seeing all the women
in Russia and Ukraine wearing those well except for the babushkas
and everyone walking everywhere and carrying bags, even down long
cobbled dirt roads and in seriously high heels. I remember thinking how and
the hell does that woman do that. It really stuck in my mind
as a strong contrast to what I would see in the states. Also I would say
far less conservative in dress, I mean none of the women were trying to
dress like men. It was just one of many observations that stayed with me.
