I can't remember where I read this several days ago, but it had to do with a stress level metric of the population, the gist of it being that the general stress level today is like it was in 1860 before the Civil War began.
Trouble is "we" are not all patriots. A hell of a lot who are inside the borders march to the beat of different drummers. That's the truth.

They come in but they do not assimilate into our culture. The keep to their traditions, and many are openly hostile to ours.
Like history telling us socialism never has worked, history also tells us repeatedly that a country cannot survive a massive invasion of foreigners. You either have to deport them, or eventually lose your country.
