First, remember; These guise are the BADASSES of the BADASSES. This IS Colonel Trautman in real life, all grown up. I had been unable to determine if Votel was White or Black for sure until I saw the picture, then I knew! Votel is the General in the picture here with his hands crossed. When a combatant is captured, he is taught to cross his fingers or something to indicate he is being coerced.
Votel was the fastest rising star in Army history some say but it's what he did. He replaced our good buddy (Ret) Admiral McRaven on just about every step of his career, up until McRaven Retired and he went on to USCENTCOM on March 30, 2016.. He relieved McRaven at JSOC. He Relieved McRaven at USSOC, then went to CENTCOM, (Mattis was at CENTCOMM from 2011-2013 when he retired).
McRaven is the guy who “Commanded the raid on Bin Laden. He was also the guy who sold out SEAL Team Six and had them assassinated, you know, on Extortion Seventeen. Then two days later put on his 4th Star and took over USSOCOM after being appointed by Hussein in April 2011. Now he is resigning this year as Chancellor of University of Texas Systems and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He told POTUS to remove his Security Clearance too in defense of Brennan. Yes, that McRaven and THIS Votel have been working in harmony since Hussein put them almost together, same path in 2010. They have worked together since before then at JSOC, McRaven SEAL Team Six, Votel Rangers 75th Regiment. Yep, Rangers 75 SEAL Team 6, sound familiar? That WAS the forces of Extortion 17. If confirmed by the Senate, Lt. Gen. Kenneth McKenzie will replace Gen. Joseph Votel, who is expected to step down as CENTCOM chief in coming months.
McKenzie has been one of the Pentagon's most visible senior military officials over the past year, regularly briefing reporters on operational issues along with the department's civilian spokeswoman.……….Edited
From his command headquarters in Tampa, McKenzie will also have to navigate an ongoing feud between Gulf allies and contend with friction with Russia and Turkey, which are not within his area of command but play important roles in Syria.
Derek Chollet, who was a senior Pentagon official during the Obama administration, said McKenzie's qualifications included deep experience in both operations and military policy.
"He's been one of the principal architects of the campaign against the Islamic State, deeply involved in Afghanistan policy, and the effort to push back against Iran crossing two administrations," Chollet said. "There are very few people I can think of who are as well versed and deeply involved in U.S. operations in the Middle East over the last six years."
The Pentagon is also expected to nominate Lt. Gen. Richard Clarke, who now serves as the top planning officer on the Joint Staff, to be the next head of U.S. Special Operations Command when Gen. Raymond "Tony" Thomas steps down.
