To add to this, that EO was most interesting for its financial nature. The declaration of national emergency was specifically to seize assets without whatever normal red tape. It's not for seizing drug cash and Ferraris.

 

If you're going after international criminals with billions of dollars and front companies or real companies involved, the accusation alone would totally fuck a publicly traded company. Or even a small bank. Or even a rich private company that needs to maintain its image and would lose millions then have a grand time clawing it back from the feds if they beat the charges. The lawfags I've asked seem to acknowledge it's weird and the timeline seems really long. The financial nature might explain this just as well as the fbi guys explanation of the scope of human trafficking.

 

And i don't think the original list of targets in the EO annex has ever been updated. So we have no idea Wtf they're doing in regards to the EO at all.
