Today, the U.S. Senate passed the bipartisan funding bill that provides a total of $675 billion for our national defense – a $20.4 billion increase from last year’s budget.

This bill also provides the largest pay raise in nearly 10 years for the men and women who serve in our military – including those serving at Fort Campbell and Naval Support Activity Mid-South in Millington.

Governing is about setting priorities, and this bill shows the men and women who serve in our armed forces are a top priority. We owe our service men and women in uniform a debt of gratitude, and this bill helps ensure they receive the support and resources they need.
