The Twitter account of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise tweeted thanks to Bono after the U2 frontman took time out of a Maryland concert Tuesday night to honor the injured congressman.
“You’ve been through some troubling days here with the shooting in Alexandria,” Bono said onstage in the video. “We are so grateful that Congressman Scalise and his comrades made it through. So grateful. We hold him up, as love holds us all up.”
