Retired Chicago physician Quentin Young is an ex-communist and a long-time DSA member. He is the father of the socialized health care movement in the US and has been working for more than 50 years on the issue through organizations such as Health & Medicine Policy Research Group, Medical Committee for Human Rights and especially his nationwide DSA front, Physicians for a National Health Program.
