Out of everything happening, this terrifies me the most. I'm expecting so much outrage and disgust that the tyrannical path might seem compelling to the masses.

Do the criminals deserve punishment? Yes.

Do we need to defend ourselves against the same corruption in the future? Yes.

Do we do this by installing a totalitarian regime to clamp down on dissent? That's the scary question.

60/40 allows for a reset.

70/30 gives us a better chance at a more positive outcome.

80/20 and 90/10 causes riots.

100/0 and no one would listen. Those that did would probably go mad.

It's a delicate balance, but one that needs to be addressed. If we can't handle the truth, what can we handle? Also, what kind of foundation does that 60% provide? Is it strong enough?

Q says "the choice to know will be yours". What would this look like if the choice allowed for 100% to be revealed to individuals who care to know?

Would those people have to be separated from the rest? Are we looking at an entirely new "priest" class? This part just makes me wonder.

True, but many of these people would go catatonic if they found out that there were only two genders. Just goes to show the willingness to accept truth is self-imposed and fluid.

Agreed. But when you say most people seem to not care, I think it's more appropriate to say they are resigned to ignore it out of impotence - and how else would one react?

That's what I want to know.

I've got my own theories, and if they were to be true, it would change the world over night if revealed. Might induce heart-attacks if the world found out. Maybe that's the ticket?

the psychological impact of having one's world-view forcefully shifted can do some dumb shit to people. I don't think this is the case though, as far as what Q was referring to.

ego-defense. They believe they're only safe when they are sheltered, and anything that challenges that safety is an attack. It's natural to react the way they do. Not that it's ideal, by any means, but it goes to show that they are no more evolved than an animal.

The good news is that they are still human, and therefore capable of growing out of it.

Problem with that is, it's not inherently obvious. It would be like walking into a mcdonalds and demanding an oil change. the basis for questioning isn't there yet.

pearls to swine. That's where we come in, though.

We give them a reason to ask for more. We introduce a question - knowing full well the answer. The key is to be patient and diplomatic.

You use the belief that Australia not existing as an example of dogma. That's your problem. Religions spout dogma, not facts, and you are stuck thinking that the basis of these religions can, therefore, not coexist.

If you look at the underpinning of the religions, and see where they came from, there is very little separating them from each other outside of individual interpretation.

All contradictions are a product of dogmatic screwballing.
