Planefag here. I'm not sure this signifies anything abnormal.

I saw 2 MD state troopers choppers near Frederick and Towson (not in DC) and one private chopper N315RD flying south currently over Columbia, MD. I.e. chopper situation appears normal. The two MD state troopers either went off radar before I could cap them or set down.

Unfortunately I'm not in the habit of watching civilian planes so don't have a feel for what's normal around a major city airport with civilian flights.

Good to keep watching and get lots of caps … don't draw unwarranted inferences tho.

A happening on the ground won't necessarily have correlated air traffic.

DC Park Police chopper flew S to Hill Top / Welcome, MD and is flying back along same route. This chopper normally makes a circuit along the Potomac and around the DC metro area. I have not seen it fly south beyond Alexandria before. (Caveat: I am an intermittent planefag so take whatever I saw with a grain of salt).

D.C. Police say Constitution Ave from 9th Street to 14th Street, NW are closed as they investigate.

The ATACs are not significant, ever.

ATAC – the Airborne Tactical Advantage Company – is a company owned by Textron that provides training solutions for the US military. Basically they provide targets for the various branches of the military to practise their tactics on in a safe way. They fly some foreign fighter aircraft.

E6B is seen regularly over CONUS.

I don't attribute particular significance to seeing it over Nova Scotia.

Might be interesting to watch the airspace and see if it pops up again.

Just speculating. I'm willing for it to be the other way too…that Q predicted it to the minute, or caused it to happen thus hving advance knowledge fo the event.
