Tiger stays out of Trump feud with NFL, NBA athletes

Paramus (United States) (AFP) – Tiger Woods stayed out of US President Donald Trump’s feuds with NBA and NFL players after Sunday’s final round of the US PGA Northern Trust tournament.

Woods, a 14-time major winner in his first event since finishing second at the PGA Championship to fellow American Brooks Koepka, fired a final-round one-under par 70 to finish 72 holes on four-under 280 at Ridgewood Country Club.

Woods was asked whether his relationship with Trump, with whom he has played golf, was “professional or personal.”

“Well, I’ve known Donald for a number of years,” Woods said. “We’ve played golf together. We’ve had dinner together. I’ve known him pre-presidency and obviously during his presidency.”

Woods was then asked about how he would explain such a friendly relationship with Trump given his tightening of US immigration policies and ongoing feuds with NBA and NFL players.

Trump has objected to NFL players kneeeling during the national anthem as a method of protesting racial inequality and social injustice and revoked White House invitations to NBA clubs after players said they would not attend what had been traditional visits before trump took office.

“Well, he’s the President of the United States,” Woods replied. “You have to respect the office.

“No matter who is in the office, you may like, dislike personality or the politics, but we all must respect the office.”

Woods was asked if he had anything more to say regarding the state of race relations and discourse.

“No,” Woods answered. “I’m just finished 72 holes and really hungry.”

Woods was then escorted to a waiting car and departed for his private jet and a flight home to Florida, where he plans a few days off and some putting work before Friday’s next US PGA playoff event near Boston.

New court docs reveal duo from New Mexico compound planned terror attack in this major US city

After a New Mexico judge bonded the five Islamic radicals accused of training nearly a dozen children to become school shooters, newly filed court documents reveal at least two of the suspects planned a terror attack in Atlanta.

According to WSB-TV, court documents show the suspects sought to target Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta, in addition to law enforcement and “specific targets such as teachers, schools, banks and other ‘corrupt’ institutions.”

Prosecutors revealed the stunning information in a 13-page document filed in court on Friday. They are asking a judge to reconsider granting the five suspects bail, citing the planned attacks and the tragic death of 3-year-old Abdul-Ghani Wahha.

Police have criminally charged the boy’s father, Siraj Wahha, and his partner, Jany Leveille, for his death.

To support their motion, prosecutors said they recovered a 10-page, handwritten document titled “Phases of a Terrorist Attack” from the remote New Mexico compound.

The document contains “instructions for ‘The one-time terrorist,’ instructions on the use of a ‘choke point,’ a location ‘called the ideal attack site,’ the ‘ability to defend the safe haven,’ the ‘ability to escape-perimeter rings,’ and ‘sniper position detection procedure,” the court filing said, according to CNN.

In a journal, Leveille “expressed her displeasure with Grady Hospital … due to the treatment she and her mother received there,” the court filings said. However, the document did not elaborate on what Leveille was referring to.

Additionally, the documents claim Leveille and other adults at the compound joked “about dying in Jihad,” while children admitted to receiving “advanced” firearms training and instructions to target law enforcement personnel “when the time came".

Foreign Specialists Arrived In Syria To Stage Chemical Attack: Russian Defense Ministry

“Foreign specialists” arrived in Syria to stage a chemical attack, which will be blamed on the Damascus government, Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said warning that the staging of the incident may happen within next 48 hours.

“According to the information that the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria received today from the residents of the Idlib, foreign (English-speaking) specialists arrived in the Hbit settlement located in the south of the Idlib zone of de-escalation for staging a ‘chemical attack’ using chlorine-loaded missiles,” he said.

Konashenkov further said that the foreign “English-speaking specialists” are planning to stage an attack involving “poisonous agents” in the “next two days”.

“In the most populated area of Kafr Zita, preparations are being made for a group of residents brought from the north of the province to participate in the staging of an “attack” of allegedly chemical munitions and bombs by Syrian government forces, staged assistance by mimicked ‘rescuers’ from the “White Helmets” and the shooting of video for distribution to the Middle East and English-language media,” he noted.

“Thus, the interested extra-regional forces are once again preparing major provocations in Syria using poisonous substances to severely destabilize the situation and disrupt the steady dynamics of the ongoing peace process.”

Nasrallah: West preparing to stage new chemical incident in Idleb

Beirut, SANA- Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, said that the ones who defeated Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq are the ones who fought Daesh on the ground there, and not the US.

In a speech on Sunday on the first anniversary of the Second Liberation, Nasrallah said that whenever Daesh terrorists were besieged in an area in Syria, US helicopters would land to rescue them, pointing out that the MOC in Jordan, supported by the US and Israel, commanded the terrorist groups in Daraa, Sweida, and Quneitra.

"Terrorist Attack" Manual Targeting Atlanta Hospital Found At New Mexico Jihad Compound

A handwritten document titled "Phases of a Terrorist Attack" was found at a New Mexico encampment where the son of a famous New York Imam ritualistically murdered his three-year-old son and trained several children to commit acts of terrorism, reports CNN.

The handwritten document contained "instructions for 'The one-time terrorist,' instructions on the use of a 'choke point,' a location 'called the ideal attack site,' the 'ability to defend the safe haven,' the 'ability to escape-perimeter rings,' and 'sniper position detection procedure,'" according to the court filing.

Some of the children at the compound told police that Morten allegedly "stated he wished to die in Jihad, as a martyr," prosecutors said in the motion.

"At times, Jany Leveille would laugh and joke about dying in Jihad as would Subhanna Wahhaj," according to the court document. -CNN

Prosecutors have asked judge Sarah Backus to reconsider an order granting bond to five adults arrested at the compound - citing "not only the death of three-year-old Abdul Ghani Wahhaj at the remote site, but also plans by the defendants to attack law enforcement and "specific targets such as teachers, schools, banks and other "corrupt" institutions."

The defense, meanwhile, has asked Backus to dismiss the charges.

Despite authorities finding a dead child's remains on the compound, and an alleged letter sent from one suspect to his brother inviting him to come to New Mexico and die as a martyr, Backus ruled that the state failed to meet the burden of showing the suspects were a danger to the community after several hours of testimony. She ordered the suspects - Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 40, Lucas Morton, 40, Jany Leveille, 35, Hujrah Wahhaj, 37, and Subhannah Wahhaj, 35 - released on $20,000 signature bond, meaning they didn't have to pay.
