Honestly, I think she picked Bill because they knew each other in law school, Bill of course went back to Arkansas after law school where he was well connected, Hillary wanted to go to DC but failed the DC bar exam, tried and passed the much easier Arkansas bar exam and so she went off to Little Rock and glommed onto her old law school boyfriend Bill Clinton.

If Hillary had passed the DC bar exam, we probably would have had a different history, and Bill Clinton would have married Paula Jones or something.
