Anon I am all about the Rule of Law and I would be the last one to advocate torches and pitchforks…
However the law must be both effective and applied equally to all classes of citizens.
I support our police and they have a big job but we rely on them too much. Some things are more effective if handled by the community.

In most states parents are financially responsible for crimes of minors.
Vandalize a school… Parents pay.
Something like that may need to redevelop n America where entire families incur consequences of abominable actions of thier kids/family.
Other countries continue this practice of honor to this day.
Maybe this would make people more vigilant in keeping an eye on thier loved ones.
