HELP, INFO-GRAPHIC ANONS!

Want advice on best QUICK, SIMPLE, FREE-ish, photo assembly clipboard annotation-capable MAC program/app with ability to merely drag multiple photos to it and then draw lines, boxes, circles, highlight, add text.

MacBook user–very capable, but not expert level. I occasionally come up with things that I want to represent visually and post. I've done a little clock-fagging, a few proofs, etc. Made notables all of twice ever, but have time, high interest/knowledge level and smarts to contribute.

I HATE using Apple's "Pages" app–too complicated for "quick and dirty" visual creations–used it to add to clock-fagging posted here, and I swear it FIGHTS YOU every step of the way. Apple's default "Preview" is editable, but kinda lousy/TOO basic. I just want a blank page to drag photos to and start drawing lines, words and shapes between, over, connecting them.

SUGGESTIONS? Any/all appreciated.
