Ron Paul nor anyone else no long with the need to know should have a security clearance. That's the basic tenet of clearances–need to know only. I've seen clearances change/come/go away while serving in the military regardless of rank and while serving the entire time. It all depends on need to know. We're taught that from the beginning and never have we been taught anything else replaces it. Why would these people no longer in service to the nation have ''any'' need to know? They don't.
