Since green text is the method in which we quote others on the chans, what if there was an alternative interpretation of this line?

That Q is quoting the view of the Silly Valley boys to the rest of us. To wit,

Trump offered no evidence Tuesday morning to back up his claim that Google is favoring news that is critical of him and his administration. Many news outlets tailor their online content to Google's algorithms in an effort to secure placement at or near the top of search results.

"When users type queries into the Google Search bar, our goal is to make sure they receive the most relevant answers in a matter of seconds," the spokesperson continued. "Every year, we issue hundreds of improvements to our algorithms to ensure they surface high-quality content in response to users' queries. We continually work to improve Google Search and we never rank search results to manipulate political sentiment."

This almost exactly echoes @Jack's explanation to Hannity and is typical of the arrogant dismissiveness that the "tech-intelligencia" has towards everyone else (including Congress, especially them).

If they think they can hide behind their "algorithms", they got another thing coming…

>GOOG TO BE REGULATED.

Have a dissenting viewpoint on this one for the reason above. Unless you have people writing the legislation who know the inside of all the tricks they are pulling, any regulation is going to fall short.

Realize this is a radical stance, but seems to me that the only way to truly resolve this is to nationalize them, open source the code, and then sell the company back to the public.

Don't forget, GOOG, FB, twitter combined is storing the most personal of information on practically every US citizen +++.

How that is not an issue of national security is beyond me.
