It's what they teach and why you're supposed to do - total obedience. Depends on how devout you are, weather you believe it or not. The allowed exceptions [ to the infallibility] are very rare and convoluted. They have to argue it against massive history.
The priests use that "obedience" doctrine to use the nuns for sex. and I guess, as it now comes out, children.
They used the nuns for years, for unpaid labor and whatever they want. There's testimony to it.
