I made a mistake. I wasn't clear. I apologize.
When I was taught about it I was told th Nazi version was "reversed" and I misunderstood tht to refer to Left-handed, counter-clockwise vs. Right - handed, clock-wise.
The real story is Hitler and the Nazi tipped it backwards [as seen by the originators of the emblem, Hindu]
they see it as twirling or rolling forward / to the right. Nazi tipped it off it's axis, off it's plumb rectitude, to seem to roll it backward.
Or to stop it.

There's a special name for the leftward whirling variety and I was always told that was inauspicious. - which added to my confusion.
