I think that reading comprehension is low than reading a real book, but have no evidence to support the idea. Cursive is not being taught either. Give a kid an iPhone and he'll never open a book in his life. No need to burn books, no one reads them anymore!

Yeah. That why I liked reading Gore Vidal novels. Same cast of characters and their descends the whole time. Burr was my favorite. Had no idea who Vidal was till he had died, not that it matters much.
