Am convinced that the Nazis absolutely had the technological and strategic capacity to have evacuated key individuals to South America, and reorganize there.
The kicker is that the late 40's is about the same time when South American governments started being screwed with by DS. There was money to be made and power to be grabbed, and were going after it tooth and nail.
