I think I figured out why the history books are different. The books no longer talk about individual country/nation identities. The focus is on one world government stuff: United Nations, being a good citizen of the world, how events effected civil rights and intolerance for different cultures. Many of the educational standards barely even mention history, and when they do, it is how all the wars affected female equality, civil rights, peace thru United Nations type organizations, etc.

In the new history books, countries do not exist. It is all about ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.
