And lots of those Grimm Fairy tales. The original stories were much more grisly. All of the tales were from the Black Forest in Germany, weren't they?
Hansel and Gretel might deserve a look. It is a very grisly tale written by a German author, and based on folklore. In the tale, young children are abandoned in the woods (Black Forest, perhaps?) by those who are suppose to care for them (Democrats?). They are found by a cannibalistic witch (cabal) that likes to eat children. The tale even talks about the children finding their way back by following "bread crumbs" (Q leaves bread crumbs).
According to Grimm's "Wolf and Seven young Kids" tale, the kids are told to look for white feet before opening the door.
