True psychological projection wouldn’t require them to know the difference. They would believe they are doing the right thing or at least an inconsequential thing.
It’s the husband accusing the wife of cheating over and over, because he loves her so much and can’t lose her…..but he’s been cheating the whole time. Totally believes he’s in the right bc he’s been there for so long.
